Painting In Red

久しぶりにアクリル絵の具を引っ張り出して、塗りの作業。

ドライブラシで、ひたすらトントンと紙に叩くこと1時間。

さすがに疲れましたが（笑）、汚れたしまった水彩紙が

おかげで良い雰囲気の紙に生まれ変わりました。

さて、何に使おうか。。。

Roman Capital Variation:

“Roman Capital Variation 003” からシリーズ名を変更しましたので、
“Cubist Calligraphy”シリーズは004からのカウントとなります。

さて、今回の Cubist Calligraphy の“BIRTHDAY”　すこし右上がりになったかと思えばの、急激な位置合わせ。

“線の分解と再構築”がテーマであるこのシリーズの習作は、いかにして「ばらしてまとめるか！」がポイントになってくるようで、
思いもよらぬ “おっととととっと” 的なことが勃発してます。

でもそれはそれでありなのかなぁと。

このカードもらったら、とてもユニークなBirthdayになりそう！と思ってます。 （自画自賛）

Cubist Calligraphy

この上記画像☝から、最近シリーズ化してきているRoman Capital Variation:  " The decomposition & the recomposition of the Line" 。

ローマンキャピタル(ROMAN CAPITAL) バリエーションのモノラインの習作を  ”The decomposition & the recomposition of the Line /線の分解と再構築”と称してきました。

私自身もこのタイトルが気に入っていたので、これでいこうと思っていたのですが。

このシリーズを見てくれた方が、20世紀初頭におこったキュービズムのフォルムに似ていることから、“これはCubist Calligraphy だね！” と。

思いもよらない発想のつぶやきに、ホレてしまいまして、このシリーズのタイトルにさせていただきました。

なので、これからはこのシリーズは、“線の分解と再構築” の中の “Cubist Calligraphy ” とします。

48 x 40 x 38 mm

リング用の小さなBox。
手のひらにすっぽりと収まります。
端材で作ったのに、かなりお気に入りの一品。

開閉部分には、磁石が入っていて、
今までのGravity Seriesとは仕様を変えており、少々スリム化しております。
吸い付くように閉まるのがクセになりそう。

とてもお気に入りなのに、最近ではほとんど身につけることがなくなった、この赤いリング。
でも、また、観賞用として復活しそうです。

プレゼント用のBoxだけでなく、観賞用のBoxというのもいいなぁ。

Boxの新しい使い方を発見できて、またワクワクしてきました。

カリグラフィーで使われる書体のうちの一つ、

ローマンキャピタル(ROMAN CAPITAL) のモノライン(スケルトンレターフォーム) の習作、

線の分解と再構築シリーズ。

前回の Roman Capital Variation 002よりも、もっとテクスチャーになるように書いてみようと思い、文字間も行間も詰めて書いてみました。何だか理科の実験室の実験中な雰囲気を彷彿させるようなフォルムになっていって、書いていてもかなり楽しかったデス。もう少し線や色味を加えたくなります。
